This is not a zoo photo. I was recently privileged to visit St. Catherine’s Island off the coast of Georgia to visit the only free-range colonies of Lemurs in the world outside of their native habitat of Madagascar. The 11 x 3 mile island is closed to the public and is home to about 60 Lemurs. The scientific purpose behind this incredibly interesting conservation effort has benefitted Lemur efforts all around the world.
