Mystery and Madness

December 1, 2018 by Doug Rudnik

One man’s opinion, what is yours?

“It is only through mystery and madness that the soul is revealed”
― Thomas Moore, Care of the Soul: A Guide for Cultivating Depth and Sacredness in Everyday Life

Anything that brings intense emotion to the surface reveals a piece of your authentic self.

What makes you cry?
What makes you angry?
What inspires you to “do something now”?
What makes you nostalgic?
What makes you yearn?
What are you doing, thinking, hearing, smelling touching when you feel true joy?
What makes you giddy?
What inspires you?

All of this has elements of mystery, madness, even wonder, and majesty, and believe it or not, ALL of that is IN YOU NOW! It makes you YOU! Wonderful YOU! And the world needs YOU!

“The same sun that rises over castles and welcomes the day spills over buildings into the streets where orphans play, and only You can see the good in broken things. You took my heart of stone, and You made it home and set this prisoner free” ― Bethany Dillon
