the peaceful amble
before the day really wakes
bringing prospective
a time to contemplate
leaving the weight of the world
behind

let thoughts drift in
and drift out
those that are stuck
wrap up
and tuck away
no lingering
on what if’s
situations will run their course

focus on your step
beware of your breath
forward is the direction
