What is the one thing you can’t blame on anyone/anything else?
Answer: “Did I do my best?”

We can ask ourselves if we are happy, if we are fulfilled at work and home, if we have what we need, etc, but all of those questions leave room to blame our environment for our lack. Instead, give yourself this daily checkup:

Did I do my best at being happy?
Did I do my best at finding meaning?
Did I do my best at seeing the wonder?

Then make it more specific:

Did I do my best at setting reachable goals?
Did I do my best at finding ways to express my callings through my duties at work?
Did I do my best at empowering my children to succeed in their world?
Did I do my best at connecting with my spouse’s soul?
Did I do my best at listening to the daily news with compassion?
Did I do my best at building positive relationships with strangers?
Did I do my best at eliminating unproductive chatter?
Did I do my best to create spaces around me that foster peace, creativity, and comfort?
Did I do my best to support my body’s health and longevity?
Did I do my best to express my faith through everything that I think, say and do?
Did I do my best at being fully engaged?

Of course, you’ll write your own questions. Try it this week, and then come back and tell us how your vision was impacted by this fresh approach! Good luck!
